WHO WE ARE

Leadership Watch (LW) is a Non Governmental Organization committed to the promotion of Leadership Role Model and Good Corporate Governance through research, Capacity Building, Leadership Development/Trainings, Conferences, Lectures and Awards. Dr. Martins P. Iwuanyanwu established Leadership Watch in January 1999 with a mission to influence and hold leaders accountable, build and develop their capacities thereby engendering role models in all spheres of society for public benefits. DR. Martins is a strategic thinker, theologian, leadership/development specialist and social entrepreneur recognized internationally for his expertise in issues relating to emerging democracy and economy. LW is in Special Economic and Social Consultative Council Status with the United Nations and works in partnership with many national and international institutions.

Leadership Watch is the organizers of the prestigious Annual Leadership Lecture and Role Model Awards, ICT Summits and Expert Workshops on ICT for Youths in Nigeria, Trade and Investment Forum and also the publisher of ‘Critical Issues on Sustainable Democracy and Development: Nigerian Perspectives’ volume one and two. LW is the winner of the prestigious Federal Government Award through the Nigerian Communications Commission for Effective Representation of Telecoms Consumers in Nigeria for year 2011 and 2012. LW is the promoter of Emerging Leaders Network (El-net Club) and Emerging Leaders Academy, Owerri, Imo State.

LW works in partnership with many national and overseas-based institutions such as the Washington DC based Organization of African Professionals and Associates in the Diaspora, Inc, which is promoting the African Unity in Diaspora Initiatives (AUDI) jointly with the African Union Mission in the USA. Our other foreign based strategic partners include; Science Medicine Research Institute, Dallas, Texas USA and Educational Bridge London. Part of our collaborative mandate is to promote and advance democracy and good governance in Nigeria and Africa in general through capacity building and other trainings that engenders sustainable growth and development.

We are also a strategic partner to the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) amongst other government ministries and agencies in the promotion of ICT education and development in Nigeria. This we have done through our participation in the Telecom Consumer Parliament, Consumer Outreach Programs and conducting of Telecom Consumer Town Hall Meetings and Telecom Consumers Experience Assessment Survey amongst others.

Leadership Watch is pleased to recognize and celebrate the achievements of those individuals and corporate bodies who have contributed in significant and diverse ways to the service of God and humanity and in the growth and development of our nations as well as the field of leadership studies with the under listed AWARDS. As Honorees of the award, recipients are honored at the annual leadership lecture and awards each year and inducted into the LEADERSHIP LEGACY HALL OF FAME PROJECT
